I have dark skin, is your laser suitable for me?
At Skin Care Clinics we use the Polaris medial long pulsed Nd Yag 1064 wavelength. This is suitable for all skin types from the palest of skins to the darkest, but it has been specifically designed for darker skins resulting in effective & safe removal of unwanted hairs in all areas for all skin tones.
One of the many advantages of using Laser light at 1064nm is that melanin absorption is very low. As a result the risk of skin pigmentation damage, either hyper or hypo, is very low, making long pulsed Nd:Yag lasers the only choice for hair removal on skin types 4, 5 & 6.
